You've probably seen this adventurous SUV driving around the Parsippany, Wayne, and Morristown areas, so you know how stunning it can look on the outside. If that's the case, then you may be curious about the 2020 Subaru Outback interior, too.

The team here at Paul Miller Subaru is here to give you a quick look around the cabin of the 2020 Outback. If you like what you read and you want to see it for yourself, let us know and we'll bring you by for a test drive!

Subaru Outback Interior Technology

One of our favorite things about the interior of the Subaru Outback is the command center in the center stack. Depending on your trim level, this will include the STARLINK® infotainment system with either a 7-inch or 11.6-inch touchscreen display.

Both displays are compatible with:

  • Bluetooth® wireless connectivity
  • Apple CarPlayâ„¢
  • Android Autoâ„¢
  • Pandora® streaming radio
  • Ahaâ„¢ music streaming

Apple CarPlayâ„¢ and Android Autoâ„¢ are useful tools that integrate your smartphone with your car's infotainment system. They allow you to access some of your favorite apps through your car's touchscreen, like navigation, audiobooks, internet radio streaming, and phone calls.

A fully integrated navigation system is also available on select trim levels, as is the available Harman Kardon® premium audio system. This includes a 576-watt-equivalent GreenEdge® amplifier and 12 speakers placed strategically around the cabin to create a surround sound-like experience.

Can you think of a better way to get the party started during your road trip sing-alongs than a 12-speaker sound system?

Interior Dimensions of the Subaru Outback

You can feel the spaciousness of the Subaru Outback cabin from the moment you open the doors and look inside. The numbers tell you all you need to know:

  • Seats: 5
  • Passenger volume: 109 cubic feet
  • Headroom (front/rear): 40.1/39.1 inches
  • Legroom (front/rear): 42.8/39.5 inches
  • Maximum cargo volume: 75.7 cubic feet

As you can see by the numbers above, the 2020 Outback has all the space inside that you could need for a great outing with your friends or family. Not only can it accommodate five passengers between its two rows of seats, but it gives everyone up to 109 cubic feet of passenger volume to settle in to.

Of course, it's important to keep in mind that your passenger volume is actually 106.5 cubic feet if you equip your SUV with the available power tilt/sliding moonroof. While it decreases passenger volume ever so slightly, the moonroof can actually create even more of a feeling of spaciousness. It does this by allowing more sunlight and fresh air to flood the cabin.

You can also pack up 32.5 cubic feet of cargo in the trunk space behind the second-row seats. If you have even more to carry, fold down the back row and load in up to 75.7 cubic feet of cargo.
