Trim Level & Engine Configurations

The Subaru Outback comes in five available models, so you can choose one that is equipped with what you want the most. Standardly, the 2.5i trim comes with the 175-horsepower 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER® engine, which offers a lower center of gravity to provide you with less drag. Features like the STARLINK™ multimedia system and Subaru EyeSight® driver-assistive technology are also included.

The next trim is the 2.5i Premium, which offers upgrades like the dual-zone climate control system, which lets you configure your in-cabin temperature to your liking.

For a more luxurious feel, opt for the 2.5i Limited or 2.5i Touring. The Limited includes stylish leather-trimmed upholstery and 18'' wheels, while the Touring comes standard with a power moonroof for a new point of view.

Lastly is the fully equipped 3.5i Limited. This trim comes with the upgraded 3.5-liter SUBARU BOXER® engine, which generates 256 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque. Upgraded comfort and tech features are also found throughout to give you a one-of-a-kind driving experience.

Subaru Outback Interior Configurations

When it comes to ample roominess in the cabin, the Subaru Outback has you covered. Inside, you'll have 108.1 cubic feet of passenger space which can seat up to five perfectly. This includes 42.9 inches of legroom in the front, 38.1 inches in the back. Shoulder room is also aplenty, measuring in with 58.1 inches for the front passenger and driver, and 57.3 inches for those in the rear.

However, headroom in the Outback differs depending on which trim you choose. In the base model, headroom in the front comes to 40.8 inches, with 38.9 inches in the rear. When any of the above trims are equipped with the available moonroof, this changes to 38.3 inches of front headroom, though the back remains the same.

Outback Cargo Configurations

Along with enough seating for your whole gang, the Subaru Outback also offers plenty of room for all your belongings. In the back, you will find 60/40 split-folding rear seats, which allow you to configure your cargo area in many ways. When the seats are in their upright position, you'll have 73.3 cubic feet to play with. You can also fold one seat back for longer items, or both seats, and expand the area to a whopping 73.3 cubic feet.

Roof rails with integrated crossbars also come standard on all trims. This space is perfect for strapping things up when the vehicle is full and is great for transporting bikes, skis, and kayaks for your weekend adventures.
