While both the 2021 Subaru Impreza and WRX are compact sedans, engineering-wise, they serve different needs.

The 2021 WRX is a high-performance sports sedan that can achieve up to 268 horsepower on its standard 2.0L turbocharged engine. Each trim on this model is equipped with standard sport-tuned suspension and Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) with Active Torque Vectoring to provide you with the most control over the road. This sedan is ideal for drivers who enjoy the rush of driving performance vehicles.

On the other hand, the 2021 Subaru Impreza will likely better serve commuting drivers and those who spend their mornings in their kid's carpool lane. This sedan has a 2.0L engine capable of achieving up to 152 horsepower. While its engine has a lower output, you'll still have standard Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) and a Traction Control System for optimized road grip.

Although these two sedans differ in engine output and performance, they both come with standard all-wheel drive. So, even if you don't opt for the sporty WRX, you'll still achieve great grip and traction on the road and feel like you're driving a high-performance vehicle.
