The Subaru Impreza is an efficient compact car that's available as both a sedan and a hatchback. While it gives you two styles to choose from, can you depend on them to get you around the Parsippany, Wayne, and Morristown areas? To show drivers in the tristate area what it has to offer, Paul Miller Subaru explores the Subaru Impreza reliability.
Performance & Fuel Economy
The Subaru Impreza delivers a fun and efficient drive. Its EPA-estimated 28 MPG city and 36 MPG highway will come in handy when you're hopping on the Jersey turnpike or commuting to NYC.
To get that kind of fuel economy, the Impreza runs on a sporty 2.0L 4-cylinder SUBARU BOXER® engine. It gets up to 152 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque. A 5-speed manual transmission comes standard, but a Lineartronic® Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) is also available.
The Impreza offers an enjoyable drive with either transmission. The CVT provides you with both quick gear shifts and the option to take control. The available paddle shifters let you drive manually without a clutch.
Comfortable Interior
Whether you're interested in the 2020 Subaru Impreza sedan or the hatchback, you can count on it to keep you comfortable and carry all your cargo. Both models offer 43.1 inches of headroom and 56.7 inches of legroom behind the wheel.
A 6-way power-adjustable driver's seat and a 4-way manually adjustable front passenger's seat are available to give you more ways to relax. You can also warm up in the winter with heated front seats.
The second row has nearly identical dimensions in both cars. The main difference between them is the trunk space. The sedan has a traditional trunk with 12.3 cubic feet of space. The Impreza hatchback has a round roof that gives you up to 20.8 cubic feet of storage space. If you need to pack more, just fold the back seats down and you'll have up to 55.3 cubic feet of cargo room.

Smart Safety Features
Above all else, you can depend on the Subaru Impreza to keep you safe. Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive comes standard to keep you in control, while the interior is protected by seven airbags. There's a driver's knee airbag, dual front airbags, seat-mounted side-impact airbags, and side-curtain airbags that cover both rows of seats.
There are also lots of safety features that can help prevent accidents. EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology comes standard and gives you more awareness with features, such as:
·       Pre-Collision Braking
·       Adaptive Cruise Control
·       Lane Departure and Sway Warning with Lane Keep Assist
·       Pre-Collision Throttle Management
