Subaru Impreza: Interior Dimensions

The Subaru Impreza is available as both a sedan and a 5-door hatchback. With two rows of comfortable seats, there's standard seating for up to five people. Both models give the driver and front passenger 39.8 inches of headroom and 43.1 inches of legroom.

There are some slight differences in the backseat. Each model gives you room to stretch out with 36.5 inches of legroom. Three people can sit comfortably side by side with 55.6 inches of shoulder room. However, the hatchback has a slightly higher ceiling and offers 38 inches of rear headroom. Whereas passengers in the sedan have 37.2 inches of rear headroom.

The main difference between the two styles is the trunk. The Impreza sedan has a traditional trunk that offers 12.3 cubic feet of cargo room. The hatchback has a convenient round trunk with 20.8 cubic feet of cargo room. If you fold down the backseats, the Impreza hatchback can offer up to 55.3 cubic feet of cargo room.

Design & Amenities

The 2020 Impreza looks just as sharp inside as it does outside. Cloth seats come standard, but you'll also have the option of black sport cloth with red contrast stitching. For a more traditional look, you can choose leather seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a leather gear shifter. Aluminum-alloy pedals are also available to make the cabin feel like a racecar.

There are lots of ways to get comfortable behind the wheel with a 6-way power adjustable driver's seat. Your copilot will also find a few ways to relax with a 4-way manually adjustable front passenger's seat. Both of you can warm up in the winter, too, with heated front seats.

Whichever upholstery and amenities you choose, you can brighten up your drive and shine some light on this stylish interior with a power moonroof.

Infotainment System

The Subaru Impreza comes with a dashboard touchscreen that includes lots of smartphone compatibility. Bluetooth® comes standard to help you make hands-free phone calls and stream music. Both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are included, so you can access your phone's apps while you drive.

While a 6.5-inch touchscreen is standard, an 8-inch screen is also available. On top of being able to sync your smartphone, you'll also have plenty of music to choose from. Both HD Radio® and SiriusXM® All Access Radio are available as well.

No matter how big your screen is, you can use the system to check behind you while you're backing up too. Just put your Impreza in reverse, and the display will switch over to the standard Rear-Vision Camera.
