A versatile compact SUV, like the Subaru Crosstrek, is a great choice for commuters and drivers who enjoy going off-roading. Which one of its trims has all the features you're interested in? To show drivers near Parsippany, Wayne, and Morristown what each one has to offer, Paul Miller Subaru looks at the 2020 Subaru Crosstrek trim levels.

Subaru Crosstrek

The base trim arrives on 17-inch alloy wheels and sports a convenient set of black roof rails plus black side mirror covers. The interior builds off this look with black carbon-fiber-patterned accents. Cloth seats come standard with either black or gray upholstery.

The cabin offers a comfortable ride with an automatic climate control system, a 4-way manually adjustable front passenger's seat, and a 6-way manually adjustable driver's seat. There's also lots of technology available on the 6.5-inch touchscreen in the dashboard.

The standard infotainment system keeps you connected and lets you stream music with Bluetooth®. Both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ come standard, too, so you can access your phone's apps. You can even use it to look behind your car with the Rear-Vision Camera.

All of this runs on Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. Under the hood, there's an efficient 2.0L 4-cylinder SUBARU BOXER® engine. It gets up to 152 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque. A 6-speed manual transmission comes standard, but a Lineartronic® Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) is also available.

Subaru Crosstrek Premium

The Crosstrek Premium spruces up the exterior with fog lights, auto-on/off headlights, and body color side mirrors. It's also better suited for the winter with heated side mirrors and a windshield wiper de-icer.

Cloth seats are standard; however, this trim gives them sporty orange contrast stitching. The standard leather-wrapped steering wheel also includes orange stitching. To complement the new aesthetic, welcome lighting comes standard.

You'll also get to enjoy more technology in the infotainment system. While you can still stream music from your phone, there's more variety available with SiriusXM® All Access and HD Radio®

This trim also offers a more comfortable ride with dual-mode heated front seats. There's also more convenient cargo room with a cargo area cover and tray.

Subaru Crosstrek Limited

The Subaru Crosstrek Limited offers peace of mind with more safety features and a more adaptable drivetrain. EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology comes standard and helps prevent accidents with technology such as:

  • Pre-Collision Braking
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Lane Departure and Sway Warning with Lane Keep Assist
  • Pre-Collision Throttle Management

You'll also be able to rely on Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Plus, Hill Descent Control and X-MODE® also come standard, so you'll have improved traction and more control.

This trim also stands out for its 18-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lights, and LED Steering Responsive headlights. The side mirrors also incorporate integrated turn signals. You can hop in quickly, too, with Keyless Access and a Push-Button Start.

The interior now comes with leather seats with orange stitching. The instrument cluster includes a 6.3-inch multifunction display, while the infotainment system gets bumped up to an 8-inch touchscreen.
