Whether you've got some German heritage in your family or you just enjoy a full stein of beer, everyone loves when Oktoberfest rolls around. To help you celebrate Oktoberfest at Bear Mountain Inn, we'll explore how good food, good beer, and good music will make autumn's biggest annual event a party you'll come back for year after year.

Fall Festival Agenda

A great view can take a good party and make it unforgettable. The beautiful Anthony Wayne Recreation Center at Bear Mountain State Park keeps this beloved tradition alive by featuring rows of tents filled with food vendors, games, and refreshing beer. Play some cornhole with your friends or dance to some Bavarian tunes, all while smelling brats on the grille and pretzels baking just a few feet away.

Feel free to swing by over and over again or during any weekend that's convenient. Oktoberfest at Bear Mountain takes place every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from September 27th to October 20th.

Close out your week on a high note by making it your happy hour. On Fridays the festivities run from 6pm to 10pm, while things start off at 12pm and end at 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Plus, parking is only $10.

Authentic German Food & Beer

What would Oktoberfest be without the most refreshing beer and real German cuisine. This year, there's an expanded buffet and additional mobile food carts.

Order a savory bratwurst, knockwurst, or some chicken schnitzel, then pair it with an authentic side, like spätzle, red cabbage, pierogi, or a Bavarian pretzel. Afterwards, treat your sweet tooth to some strudel or a Belgian waffle.

Of course, you can wash it all down with copious amounts of your favorite beer. There are four party wagons with 16 taps each! Enjoy your brew in a 16oz plastic cup or really get into the spirit with a classic stein.

Traditional Live Music

Every party needs a great playlist. When you've got a live band playing the perfect music for the party, it's hard not to get up and start dancing. This year there's a different band taking the stage every night. Some of the acts schedule to perform include:

  • Bavarski
  • Bratwurst Boys
  • Alex Meixner Band
  • Royal Bavarians
  • Heimatklange
